Our beliefs create our thoughts, and our thoughts have a huge impact on our reality.
But here's the tricky thing about beliefs. Many of them are subconscious, buried deep beneath years of social conditioning. If those beliefs are negative or limited - such as, ‘I’m not a creative person’, ‘my ideas are rubbish’, 'writers can't make money', 'working for yourself is full of stress', 'I'm not good at numbers' - and go unaddressed, they can severely stunt you in life.
I think of limiting beliefs like weeds in the mind. They may be hiding beneath a few bushes, but they continue to grow. If we don't do the gardening to dig them out, they will strangle our future success as a human / creative / writer / parent / sibling / business owner / [insert aspirations here].
